When family traditions become sites of exclusion and division

Our family used to have this beautiful Christmas Eve tradition that felt sacred to all of us, but after my brother came out as gay and some relatives made it clear he wasn't welcome, we haven't been able to figure out how to gather without either abandoning him or fracturing the extended family completely.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Sacred rituals can become battlegrounds where love and belonging are weaponized against each other.
