When interfaith dialogue encounters religious trauma

Our interfaith book club has been meeting for three years and we've navigated lots of religious differences beautifully, but now we're reading about religious trauma and two members are processing really painful church experiences and the rest of us don't know how to hold space for their anger without feeling like our own faith traditions are under attack.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

The courage to speak truth about spiritual wounding can threaten the careful harmony that makes interfaith community possible.
