How spiritual groups handle members' personal conflicts

Our meditation group has been meeting for three years and now two of the core members are going through a messy divorce and they both want to keep coming but the energy in the room is so tense and sad that none of us can concentrate. We care about both of them but we also don't know if the group can survive this level of personal drama bleeding into our practice time.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

The sacred container of shared practice becomes compromised when members bring unresolved conflict into the space meant for transcendence.
