How to handle disruptive behavior in spiritual communities

Our meditation group has been meeting for three years and one member keeps steering every discussion toward their personal political views in ways that feel aggressive and make others uncomfortable. We value being open and non-judgmental but we're losing people and I don't know how to address it without creating more division.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

The very openness that makes sacred community possible can become the doorway through which it is destroyed.
