When spiritual communities outgrow their original intention

Our meditation group started with five close friends and has grown to thirty people, but now it feels like we're managing a religious organization instead of seeking together. The newcomers want structure and teachings, the original members want the intimacy we used to have, and I'm caught in the middle trying to hold it all together when maybe it's meant to split.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

A sacred container faces the ancient tension between intimate seeking and inclusive service.
