When spiritual communities develop unhealthy power dynamics

Our small meditation group started as close friends exploring practice together but now one person has become very attached to being seen as the teacher and it's creating weird dynamics where some of us feel excluded or judged. We all value what we've built but nobody wants to address directly that the power imbalance is slowly poisoning what used to feel sacred and equal.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

A group seeking the sacred together is discovering how quickly informal spiritual authority can corrupt intimate connection.
