Scenario

When religious communities fracture over leadership and theological interpretation

Our synagogue hired a new rabbi whose interpretations feel radical to some of the older members and not radical enough to some of the younger ones, and we're stuck in this painful middle where every sermon seems to divide us further. The board meetings have become tense and I'm watching this community I love tear itself apart over questions that feel both crucial and impossible.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

The search for truth can become a weapon that destroys the very community seeking it together.
