When consulting partners disagree about microfinance client standards

My business partner and I run a consulting firm that helps banks design microfinance programs, but we're increasingly uncomfortable with how some clients are using our work to justify lending to people who probably can't afford it. She thinks we should be more selective about clients, I think we can do more good by staying engaged and pushing for better practices, and our team is split.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Professional expertise becomes a tool for harm when partners disagree about complicity and influence.
