When couples disagree about retirement timing in their 60s

My spouse and I both turn 60 this year and we've been avoiding talking about retirement timing because I want to work until 67 but they want to retire at 62 and we haven't figured out how to make either scenario work financially without one of us feeling resentful. We keep having surface-level conversations about 'someday' but never get into the real numbers or what we're each actually afraid of.

More people experience this than they realize.

What we've seen

Two people are discovering that their individual dreams of retirement require incompatible financial sacrifices from each other.
