Our extended family does a big charitable drive every year where everyone contributes and we vote on which local organization gets the money, but I've been researching effective giving and I'm pretty sure we could save more lives by pooling that same money for global health interventions, but suggesting that feels like I'm trying to hijack a beloved family tradition.
