How do I build a design system others can actually use?

You built something that works — for you. You know when to bend a rule. You know when a token feels wrong and your eye is right instead. That knowledge lives in your head. It never made it into your files. The moment someone else opens your system, they don't have your head. They have your components, your names, your notes — or no notes at all. If the reasoning isn't written down, they will guess. They will guess wrong. Then they will blame the system and walk away from it. This is not a design problem anymore. It is a governance problem.
