Knowledge + Guidance

I run everything here. Why am I still capped below the pharmacist?

Say what is true first. You hold the department together. The schedule, the workflow, the daily fires — that is real weight, and you carry it well. But the line above you was not drawn by performance. It was drawn by a credential. You can do the job better than anyone and the wall does not move, because the wall was never about the job. So drop the question that keeps you stuck — "when will they see what I do?" They see it. They built the system to use it without paying for it. The only useful question left is what you do now, with your team, knowing the wall is permanent unless you change it or change your place.

The structural truth here is simple to state once; the hard part is deciding and acting on it, so guidance should carry most of the weight.

What’s really going on

The ceiling was never about your work. It was built around a license, not a job. You can run the whole operation and still never cross that line through effort alone. So stop asking the structure to notice you. Decide what you actually want — the title, the pay, or the exit — then act.

A moveSay it plainly to your team, out loud, in one meeting: 'We run this. We don't own it.' Stop implying it.
A moveWith your pod, write down every decision you make in a normal week that gets signed off or credited under the licensed title.
A moveDecide, together, which path you actually want: the credential, the pay and authority to match the work, or an exit. Pick one — not all three.
A movePut the ask in writing, to the person who can actually change it, with the list from step two attached. Vague conversations get vague answers.
A moveSet ninety days. If nothing changes, start building your way out quietly. A deadline with no action is just a longer wait.

What changes unlock by starting

  • You stop waiting for recognition the structure was never built to give.
  • Your team can name exactly what it does versus what it is credited for.
  • You hold a real decision — pursue the credential, renegotiate the role, or leave — instead of a vague grievance.
  • You act because you chose to, not because you finally got noticed.
One object, two jobs: a public answer to a real problem, and — the moment you start the chat — Aurelius’s live plan for your version of it.
