What’s really going on

Because you were willing to decide and others were not. That is the whole transaction. You took the choice they refused, so you also take the blame they refused. Stop expecting credit for the decision and gratitude for the risk. Neither is owed. Only the outcome is yours to own.

A moveWrite down the decision you made and the information you had at the time. Judge only that. Do not judge it by what you know now.

A moveSay to your team, plainly: 'I made this call because no one else would. If it goes wrong, we look at it together, not just at me.'
