Is AI coming for our jobs on this team, or is it just a tool?
Some of you say the machine is a toy, nothing serious. Others feel the ground shift — if it can draw the level, write the lines, build the asset, what is left for the artist, the writer, the designer? Both reactions excuse you from the only question that matters: what will you decide to do with your judgment today. A tool has no opinion of your worth. It does not plot against you. It sits there, waiting to be used well or badly, by you or by someone else. The threat was never the machine. The threat is a team that argues about the tool instead of agreeing on what only they can judge — taste, meaning, the small true detail a machine cannot tell is true. If the fear runs deeper than this — if it costs you sleep, or feels like dread about your whole future — say that out loud to someone outside this work, a mentor or counselor who can carry it with you. That is not weakness. That is sense.
Fear it or mock it — both let you avoid the real work. The tool has no will; you do. Your team's task is not to judge AI but to decide, together, what only you can still do well, and to do that without excuse. Choose the work. Do it fully.
