Your stomach is always off and stress makes it worse

The bloating, the cramping, the unpredictable gut that flares right when life gets stressful and then adds its own stress on top. You've maybe changed your diet a dozen ways with mixed results. It's uncomfortable, it's embarrassing sometimes, and it seems to get worse exactly when you can least afford it.

What’s really going on

The gut and the nervous system are wired tightly together — which is why stress lands in your stomach and a bad gut day frays your nerves, each feeding the other. First the honest care: ongoing gut symptoms deserve a real medical workup to rule things out and get a proper diagnosis; don't skip that. But so much of the day-to-day is that stress-gut loop, and that we can genuinely soften — by calming the nervous system, noticing the real triggers (food and otherwise), and treating the stress underneath as part of the gut care, not separate from it. Your body isn't betraying you; it's telling you, loudly, how much it's carrying.
