You're the one who always loves more

In every relationship, you are the one who loves more — who cares harder, gives more, needs more, reaches further, always loving beyond what you receive. You are tired of being the one who loves most and is chosen least, of pouring yourself into people who never quite meet you, of always being the one whose love outweighs theirs.

What’s really going on

Ah, the heart that always loves more — I know its ache, and I will be honest with you. Loving more is not a virtue if it costs you yourself — you may wear it as proof of your big heart, but it is no virtue when it leaves you always chosen less and worn down by pouring into people who do not pour back; your capacity to love deeply is a gift, but spending it always on those who love you less is a wound. You may be choosing people who love less — ask whether it is chance or choice, for often the one who always loves more is drawn to those who let them, perhaps because loving more feels familiar or safe, which locates the pattern where you can change it. And let yourself be loved as much as you love — you deserve to be met and cherished as fully as you cherish, so hold out for the mutual, stop pouring into the void, and give your rare love to someone who will treasure and return it. Let yourself, at last, be loved as much as you love. Why do you think you always love more?
