You're well, but you live in fear of getting sick

You're healthy — and consumed by protecting it. The rigid rules, the fear of any food or habit that might harm you, the anxiety about every choice, the sense that one slip could bring disease. Your pursuit of health has quietly become its own kind of illness: a life lived in fear of the sickness you're trying so hard to avoid.

What’s really going on

There's a painful irony here: in trying so hard to protect your health, the fear and rigidity have themselves become a burden on your wellbeing — the constant anxiety, the joyless rules, the way one 'wrong' choice can ruin your peace. Chronic fear and stress are, themselves, not good for you, and a life lived bracing against illness isn't really the healthy, flourishing life you were aiming for. When the pursuit of health becomes rigid, fearful, or obsessive (and if it has, support genuinely helps), the kindest and healthiest move is often to loosen the grip. True health includes ease, pleasure, and peace — not just avoidance of every possible harm. Let's help you hold your health with an open hand instead of a clenched fist.
