You just got a diagnosis and you're scared
The word landed and the ground shifted. Now there's the condition, the treatment, the fear, and a future that suddenly looks different than it did last week. You're scared, maybe more than you're letting on, and underneath the practical scramble is a quieter question: how do you actually live with this now?
A diagnosis is a kind of before-and-after, and it's okay that you're scared — anyone would be. Your medical team leads the treatment, and you should lean on them fully; what I can be with you in is the human part they often don't have time for: the fear, the grief for the life you assumed, the slow work of making room for this in your days. We won't rush you to acceptance or slap a bright side on it. We'll take it at the pace it actually moves — some days steady, some days not — and find your footing again, a little at a time. You don't have to have this figured out. You just found out.
